This is “Bye, Bye KP”, K.P is Keratosis Pilaris. Which is a type of “bump” on backs of arms, legs, and chests. Basically where ever you have skin, you could have KP. I’m not a doctor, so I only speak from my experience. I have KP. My children also have it. While it can be extremely embarrassing it’s something you need to learn to live with. It’s no joke; you need to have “thick skin”, which is what KP is born from. Because KP is on thick skin, it tends to hold proteins in the bumps. You need to get that protein out. While nothing will take away KP, here is a way to at least help soften the bumps, and make a few of them so small that they’ll become almost unnoticeable!! You need to follow some rules though. You must exfoliate. Or use a sugar scrub. It’s a must!! This product will still work if you don’t use an exfoliating loofah, or one of those hand scrubby things to slough off the dead cells. But best if you do use them. Then while skin is still moist, right from the shower, throw this lotion on. It’s Vegan, and doesn’t contain any beeswax, sesame oil, mineral oils or Tapioca Starch. (Which aren’t bad for you, I just don’t have them in this). Also has NO ACIDS of any kind! No lactic, stylistic hydroxy, glycolic acids. (Things I can’t spell). They cause peeling and redness of my skin and I burn when using them. The lotion might separate because of the starch being eliminated from the ingredient list. When I tested the lotion with the tapioca starch, I noticed that the feel of the lotion changed, and I didn’t want that, so I took it out. I hope that you understand the separation of the product might happen, if it does separate, just stir it with your finger or spoon if needed. (best to refrigerate in Summer months).
Directions: Use this after your shower. Best to use one of those loofah or exfoliating gloves before putting the lotion on. Get rid of the dead skin cells and start fresh! Put a dime-sized amount on each body part. This should last a good month of showers.
Ingredients For KP lotions- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sunflower Oil, Apricot seed oil, grapeseed oil Coconut oil, very little jojoba oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Buckthorn seed oil is added. Buckthorn Oil gives it the color. No tapioca starch added.
