All Natural Deodorant
Made with a blend of skin-loving oils and odor absorbing powders, WickedSoaps deodorants are an all natural alternative to commercial deodorants that you can feel good about using. Our deodorants are not antiperspirants. They are work by targeting and neutralizing bacteria that cause body odor, and helping to absorb excess sweat.
Most commercial deodorants contain aluminum which has been linked to health concerns like breast cancer, kidney issues, and skin irritation, and prohibit you from sweating by actually plugging up the sweat glands. Sweating is good for you! It’s your body’s way of ridding itself of toxins and cooling down.

About the ingredients
Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is made up of almost entirely silica, an element that your body needs. It’s pH neutral, unlike baking soda which can cause irritation, it works for even the most sensitive skin. On top of all of that, it’s antimicrobial and an absorbing powerhouse that draws out toxins and moisture, keeping you smelling fresh.
Arrowroot Powder works with Diatomaceous Earth to absorb odors, toxins, and moisture to keep you fresh and (mostly) dry.
Coconut Oil has antibacterial properties and work with shea and cocoa butter to keep your underarm skin smooth and moisturized.
Zinc Oxide (non-nano) reacts with short fatty acids that are responsible for body odor and converts them to odorless zinc salts. It’s antibacterial, which means it inhibits bacteria growth which is main cause of body odor. Non-nano means the particles are large and it won’t be absorbed into your skin, but it will work to help absorb sweat.
Beeswax is what holds everything together and allows you to apply it in stick form!
When making the switch from commercial deodorants/antiperspirants to all natural deodorant, some people may go through a detox transition period, where they find they are sweating and may smell more than usual. This is the one that started it all! I (like many) got fed up with many things. Primary above them is the abuse we put the largest organ in our body through… Our Skin. Full of chemicals and petroleum products, I decided to do better by going backward. Our recipe is based on a 125+ year old Texas Ranch recipe and a 225+ year old Greek Spartan recipe. Combined, this is a powerhouse of skin healing by providing it with the nutrients that it needs. Tallow, sure, but also Olive oil, Coconut oil, Castor oil, Glycerine, Lanolin, and essential oils like Myrrh and Frankincense.
Our natural handmade + hand-poured deodorant contains a powerful zinc oxide powder blend (with approx. 33% zinc oxide) to help fight underarm odor. We’ve added an odor-blocking fragrance. It is concentrated; a little goes a long way. Sulfate + Phthalate free.
This formula is excellent in other respects in addition to as a deodorant. Instead of clogging lymph nodes with petrochemicals, this formula will work to clear them. It can be rubbed into swollen lymph glands anywhere on the body, but do not apply to sensitive mucous membranes. This formula can be rubbed on dry skin areas including wrinkles to moisturize while tightening the skin. The formula can be applied to scars to reduce their appearance or rubbed anywhere on the skin to provide a small amount of sun protection + moisture.
Zinc Oxide Powder is pure zinc oxide mixed with a talc-free body powder mixture + is healing, anti-bacterial + anti-fungal.
Magnesium Chloride is great for cellular magnesium levels, detoxification + healthy skin. According to Daniel Reid, Author of The Tao of Detox, “Magnesium, which occurs in many forms, is most readily assimilated and utilized for metabolic purposes in the cells of the human body in the form of magnesium chloride, the natural form found in sea water.”
Do not use on irritated skin, broken skin or immediately after shaving.
Directions: Apply deodorant to clean + dry underarms. If the deodorant goes on a little damp, rub underarms + allow it to dry before putting on clothes.
