This is a wonderful butter made of three of the most healing, moisturizing ingredients you can immerse your skin in. Whipped Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter, and Organic Cocoa Butter are the only ingredients in this soothing butter. There are no fragrances added to this as the natural odors of these ingredients are soothing enough. I will add fragrance in the form of high quality essential oils upon request and for an additional $5. to $7. depending on the Essential Oil requested. Remember when requesting Essential Oils that the basic butter has a natural chocolaty fragrance all it’s own that will mingle with the E.O.s added.

I like to use this after my shower, before towel drying and any time during the day. This can be used on your face, hands and body and I have found the brown spots on my hands and face are diminishing. You can also add a Tablespoon of this to your bathwater or baby’s bathwater as it can form a protective layer on the skin that seals in moisture and acts as a barrier against harsh external toxins. There can be no claims that this will happen for you, of course, but the inherent qualities of the ingredients will speak for themselves.

Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production. Shea butter has been used in Africa and other countries for years to improve skin and hair.

Moisturizing:
The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.

A 2010 study found that due to its cinnamic acid and other natural properties, shea butter was anti-inflammatory. Arthritis runs in the family. Based upon lavender’s history as a headache remedy, I tested its ability to help relax stiff joints in the morning. It did, and it didn’t take much.

I discovered arnica a few years later. I didn’t like the gel-based products on the market, so I went straight to a manufacturer of arnica oil in the Rocky Mountains.

I thought about making an arnica based massage oil. However, oils are harder to carry. They’re notorious for leaking out. So I developed an Arnica Lavender massage lotion instead.

Essential Oil-Enhanced Relief

I love the feel of this lotion. It absorbs quickly and slides on beneath my hands without friction. However, that’s not all I like about it. With a little research, I found a combination of essential oils that folklore alleges are soothing properties to complement the arnica. I use these oils to scent the lotion.

Lavender EO was as effective as tramadol, a prescription medication, at reducing pain in one study. [Source]

Rose Geranium EO contains three components that studies show reduce inflammation (a primary cause of pain)—citronellol, geraniol, and citronellyl formate. [Source]

The FDA doesn’t allow me to make any claims for this lotion. I can’t tell you it will take away pain. However, test it for yourself. If your body responds to arnica and lavender, this lotion could take the edge off your discomfort.

Goat Milk has a ph level that’s near to skin as fair of faux leather pants. A ph level that’s well balanced healthy  human hair and skin while  commercial soap can dry out the skin to the  point at which taut and itchy.
