Black Swamp Soap products are created by Emilee Roach of Waterville, Ohio. The name “Black Swamp Soap” is derived from the area of Northwest Ohio in which Emilee lives. It was once called the Great Black Swamp and was a vast wetland fed by glaciers.
She specializes in artisan, scratch-made bar soap, linen spritz, all natural hard lotion and lip balm. Her passion for creativity and high quality ingredients led her to develop an olive oil bar soap recipe that is both gentle and luxurious. Black Swamp Soap is founded on the idea that self care luxury is affordable and should be part of everyone’s daily routine. She continues to create new scents and products on a seasonal basis.
Spiced Oatmeal Soap has a delicious smell and luscious lather. The ground oatmeal powder, or colloidal oatmeal, gives this bar a loofa feel enhancing the exfoliating qualities. The spicy Cinnamon essential oil and ground cinnamon and clove blending with the warm, natural oatmeal scent also makes an excellent shaving soap or cream that helps to raise the whiskers for shaving.
All of Jaxsoaps are made with goatsmilk for the soothing moisturizing affect the goatsmilk imparts.
Oatmeal, an ancient grain, is high in protein and carbohydrates and is packed full of vitamins, minerals, and lipids. A true “feast for the body”, these nutrients are not only healthy for your insides but also very beneficial for your skin.
An Emollient
On the skin, oatmeal is often recognized as being an emollient. According to Medical News Today, emollients, or moisturizers, “…Help keep the skin moist and supple by reducing water loss from the epidermis, the outer layer of skin. For patients with conditions such as eczema or psoriasis, emollients are an essential part of daily skin care.” We love the deep moisturizing and soothing properties that oatmeal has.
Oatmeal contains both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it an ideal ingredient to use on sensitive skin. Oddly enough, oatmeal can also help to reduce the size of your pores on your body and face. These properties are helpful in combating wrinkles and other signs of aging.
A 2019 first place blue ribbon winner at the Martin County Fair. A mild soap made with Essential Depot Coconut Oil and RSPO Palm Oil with the addition of goats milk. Naturally colored with local organic honey and vanilla. Scented with a very mild oatmeal and milk and honey.
High in conditioning oils such as Shea Butter and Avocado Oil, as well as a plentiful amount of CoaCoa Nut Oil. This soap is skin conditioning with large bubbles and great lather. The perfect compliment to a hot bath at the end of a long cold autumn day.
WARNING! Pregnant women should avoid products with rosemary.
This soap is a combination of essential oils to heal your body, as well as calm your mind.
Rosemary essential oil is known for its antidepressant, antiseptic, astringent, digestive, clears the head and aids in memory.
Lemongrass stimulates the mind, lifts the spirit, and clears the head. Great for aching muscles, tired legs, relieves fatigue, and has sedative properties.
Clove oil can lift depression, Antiseptic, stimulates digestion, restores appetite, and relieves flatulence.
Peppermint can help you become clear headed and refresh your spirit. Its cooling and pain relieving action seems to help with headache, migraines, and toothaches. It is helpful for people who have a hard time concentrating, or people with mental fatigue.
Lavender can soothe the spirit, relieve anger, and is valuable in manic depressive cases. Lavender has a sedative action on the heart, assist in bringing down blood pressure, relieves insomnia, and muscle spasms.

This 4 oz. bar combines the nutritious, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties of goat milk with honey which is an effective humectant and adds a warm, sweet scent and extra lather. With a hint of lavender this is an irresistible soap. No kidding!
Our all-natural ingredient list is: Palm oil, goat milk, castor oil, sodium hydroxide, coconut oil, sunflower oil, honey, organic lavender essential oil.

Saponified blend of coconut oil and Olive oil with mojito fragrance natural colorant, dead sea salt and glycerin decorations.
Our inventory of handmade, small batch, all natural soaps and shampoo bars is constantly changing. Several of our bars are unscented, but if we do use scents, they are 100% Pure Essential Oils, often times from Essential Depot. We only use clay for colorants. All of our soaps and shampoo bars are for people with sensitive skin or eczema. If a batch doesn’t pass the test for our personal use, we’ll never make that bar again.
