This is an essential oil soap with a generous amount of Lavender and Lavendin Essential Oil and ground Lavender bud as well as the sweetness of Vanilla Bean. The health benefits of lavender essential oil include its ability to eliminate nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect the scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems. The Latin name of lavender is Lavare, which means “to wash”, due to its particularly pleasant aroma.
Lavender oil is extracted mostly from the flowers of the lavender plant, primarily through steam distillation. The flowers of lavender are fragrant in nature and have been used for making potpourri for centuries. Traditionally, lavender essential oil has also been used in making perfumes. The oil is very useful in aromatherapy and many aromatic preparations and combinations are made using lavender oil.
Lavender oil blends well with many other essential oils including cedarwood, pine, clary sage, geranium, and nutmeg. Today, lavender essential oil is frequently used in various forms including aromatherapy oil, gels, infusion, lotion, and soaps.
Health Benefits Of Lavender Essential Oil
The various health benefits of lavender essential oil include the following:
Bug Repellent: The smell of lavender essential oil is potent for many types of bugs like mosquitoes, midges, and moths. Apply some of the lavender oil on the exposed skin when outside to prevent these irritating bites. Furthermore, if you do happen to be bitten by one of those bugs, the lavender essential oil has anti-inflammatory qualities that will reduce the irritation and the pain associated with bug bites.
Sleep: Lavender essential oil induces sleep which has made it a common recommendation for an alternative treatment of insomnia. Frequent studies on elderly patients have shown an increase in their sleep regularity when their normal sleep medication is replaced with some lavender essential oil being placed on their pillows. Therefore, it can also be helpful in treating migraines, headaches, depression, nervous tension and emotional stress. We use locally sourced ingredients as often as possible but we also support fair trade and sustainable agriculture. For example our palm oil is certified sustainable and our African unrefined Shea Butter is certified organic and produced at a women's cooperative in Ghana. We also use phthalate free fragrance oils.
Our shop features handcrafted products that are made in small batches using the finest oils, butters and botanicals. We take great pride in the making of each product keeping it as natural as possible without any added additives, harmful chemicals or harsh ingredients. The moisturizing oils used in our soaps will produce a rich luxurious lather that will leave your skin clean and soft without stripping it of its natural oils. 1. Green Apple: A delightful mix of fruity floral and crisp green apple. Top notes of green apple, crisp citrus, and nuances of Berries. Peach mid notes reaching into a light musk at the base of the fragrance.
2. Baby Powder: A delicate, light, fresh air fragrance. Top notes of clean ozone, muguet and citrus. Middle notes of lilac, classic jasmine and a delicate rose. Gentle woody, violet and powder notes at the base.

Shea Butter is a wonderful moisturizing butter, but its thick consistency makes it a challenge to apply to the body. Our whipped shea butter is a lovely combination of organic, virgin shea butter and organic shea nut oil that is blended together and whipped into a nice, light consistency. This combination goes on easily, melts into the skin, and provides wonderful, long-lasting moisture and nourishment to the skin!! This moisturizer is excellent for the fall and winter months.
Our whipped shea butter comes in a wide variety of aromas using either essential oils (indicated by an "EO") or natural, phthalate-free fragrance oils. The butters is natural and our containers are BPA-free.
Fragrance Descriptions:
Barbershop - Heart notes of amber and rum with a light top note of musk and bay
Golden Sands - Soft notes of apple, black coconut, and cassis intertwined with jasmine, gardenia, and orange flowers, and finishing with sandalwood and Tonka bean. An excellent unisex scent.
Tweed - Elegant, rich, sporty scent with notes of sandalwood, Florentine iris, herbaceous clover, French verbena, violet leaves, and ambergris. Very masculine.
