My Dad (a.k.a. Pop Pops) is an amazingly caring and loving man. He has always taken care of his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids whenever any of us needed him, still does. I named this soap Gpa's Rub Some Dirt On It because when any of us would (and still do) get minor bumps or scrapes he would always jokingly tell us to "rub some dirt on it" as if that would heal everything. It still makes me giggle to hear him say that.

There is no actual "dirt" in these 5 to 6 ounce bars, but rather, bentonite clay…clay is dirt, right?…and thin veins of activated charcoal. Both have been added to this soap for a very gentle exfoliating and they are said to help remove toxins. There is also lavender, tea tree and frankincense essential oils all of which have antibacterial properties. I can't say this soap will heal wounds but it's soap…so essential oils or not…it will clean and moisturize.

The scent is slightly floral but mostly herbal and earthy, the tea tree oil is the star here. There are no colorants added, just the natural colors of the bentonite clay, activated charcoal and hemp seed oil.

Tested on a person...this person.  I grow the lavender, mix and cook and press, and use this soap daily.  Good for all kinds of cheeks.  Shaving, too.  Bits of dried lavender exfoliate and smooth.  Scrub carefully...dried bits can scratch if you don’t let the soap do the work!  For best results, let soap dry completely on a wooden soap dish between uses. Charcoal can be messy...comes clean with water.

This soap contains the following Ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Water, Shea Butter, Lye, Castor Oil, Cocoa Butter, Lavender Essential Oil, Corn Meal, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil and Geranium to create a soap that many folks use to scrub the gunk off!  This is one of our Foundation Bars of soap.

May assist in strengthening the immune system during cold and flu season.

Directions: Apply 2 drops to bottom of each foot and rub in thoroughly. Apply before bedtime and in morning for best results.

The products may not be pretty, but THEY WILL STILL WORK. Just pop them in the fridge for a few hours or over night, and they should firm right up again!
