I keep reading to overdose on essential oils with recommendations as to quantities for ingestion. While I am aware that Essential Depot does not sell essential oils for ingestion, how is it possible to overdose on an essential oil? I eat orange peels and lemon peels without limitations and I understand that the oils are extracted from the peels. I eat oregano without limitation yet the oil is extracted from the same plant part I eat. Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice, Black Pepper, etc... are all spices that I consume frequently, and in large quantities. What is the difference?
