I was making a batch of cold process soap. I was using coconut, olive, palm, almond and castor oils with sodium lactate, kaolin, coconut milk powder (this is a common combo I make). I split the batch in half. Half was scented with coconut fragrance oil that was the last of quantity that I had. It was purchased elsewhere. That part of the soap did fine. The other half was scented with essential depot coconut fragrance oil. It IMMEDIATELY riced. It was odd, in that it looked almost curdled throughout, but it didn’t seem to get real thick. I ended up mixing it for quite a while with an immersion blender to make it look as smooth as I could make it. I swirled the 2 halves together and poured it in a mold. The final bar looks “ok” but I am not looking forward to repeating this process. I like coconut scent. There is nothing on your website warning that this scent rices. I think a reaction this severe should be warned about on the website. Had I seen that I would not have bought it. As it is, I bought a one kg container. Do you have any work arounds for this situation?
